Hiya,

Does anyone know of anywhere that does private baby scans in the north of Scotland? I really want to know what we are having but our hospital won't tell us, full stop.

Not fair, wish I was still in Oxford, they tell you.

how far north are you? Baby Scanning have an Aberdeen clinic. I've never used them, so cant recommend them or otherwise, but I'm hoping to book an appt in Glasgow in the next few weeks.

address here

I have been to the Baby Scanning clinic in Aberdeen and it was excellent. I think they have clinics in Edinburgh and Glasgow as well. Very professional, good equipment, nice clinic etc and our scanner was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

I have had 3 scans at Baby scanning in Glasgow. My first two were amazing and loved seeing the baby in 3/4d great experience, however this all changed at the weekend. I went along for my scan (am 27 weeks with baby no 3) first of all baby hiding so could not get any footage, gave me a drink and told me to walk around still no joy so took measurements checked heart, other vital organs, weight etc still no joy. Told me to go away and come back in one hour. Did this and came back same situation baby not co-operating, asked me to come back again in one weeks time and if the same thing happened they would refund my money. Due to go back on saturday however have just cancelled and demanded a full refund because i was at the midwife yesterday and she sent me straight up to the hospital who discovered my baby has a heart defect. To be truthful i am quite disgusted that i have paid the best part of £150 for a private scan (which they make you sign a firm to say it is not purely cosmetic it is also to check the baby's health and wellbeing) and they did nopt pick up on this even though they scanned me twice and listened to the heartbeat twice in one day. Sorry to ramble on but to be hinest i am fuming with them and just thankful that i went to the midwife for my appointment as planned adn she picked up on this

I live in Aberdeen, but went for an early scan (9 weeks) at Perth babyscan studio. It was excellent, and unlike some of the places is open all the time (baby scanning clinic in Aberdeen is only open at certain times). Prof Christie is lovely and extremely experienced. I will definitely be going back for a 4D scan in a few weeks time.
