Surprise BFP Today...hoping this works out!

DH and I haven't exactly been TTC, and today I got the biggest surprise - took a test (only 1 day after af due) and it was really really faint (one of those access diagnostic tests).
Popped to chemist this afternoon for a "better" test - and took it - wow - an obvious BFP - Not really dark, but easily readable!!!

I am 39, we have 4 children - and I have a history of early miscarriage (3 at least).
I am really really hoping this works out - don't think I'll get another chance given my age, and history.

I even had fertility treatment to have DC4 (clomid).

I'm really happy - but my tummy is full of butterflies. Trying to stay positive but not get over-excited all at the same time!

I guess it's just wait and see now.

I also have a history of unexplained bleeding in pregnancy. All the kids were born at term - so at least no problems if the pregnancy does establish itself well.

At least I know why I need the loo so often and feel washed out (thought I was just getting old!).

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Congratulations! I hope all goes well.

Congratulations!!! And in my experience (7mc's) the surprise ones go well. DS2 is crying in bed as we speak and 11 weeks with my surprise BFP!

Fingers crossed for you

Thank you - just needed to say it out loud to some people who might understand. Obviously won't be telling family until we know if it's working out or not..
Miscarriages have been a "missed miscarriage" 13wk - (but had been lost at 5w), then one at 5w, one at 6w, and possibly another at 5w I think. Trying to be positive.
Todays result was pos and I have some symptoms (tiredness, sore boobs, frequent need to pee)! All good so far.
Still can't believe our luck.
