Bloated stomach help!

I am 10.5 weeks pregnant and recently been suffering from bad bloating in the evening. I get home and have a snack after work and then before dinner my tummy pops out and I really don't feel like eating my dinner! And then of course I don't eat much and wake up starving! Anybody else experiencing this? Any tips?

Hhmmm, not really - I had terrible bloating etc for the first 3 months, then it subsided! So not long to go. It's the hormones. But you could try having smaller meals. Or making sure that the snack you have after work is something really nutritious and keeps you full for longer. Can you manage some cereal before bed?

I'm 7+4 and have the same problem. By the end of the day my stomach is like a balloon - a very painful balloon. I have found that eating little and often helps a little bit, but haven't managed to avoid it. Being hungry makes me feel sick, so it's a choice between sick and painful bloating! Oh the joys of pregnancy!

i'm 12 weeks and have looked about 5 months pregnant for ages now! peppermint is good for bloating i think - i used to use it for ibs years ago when i got really bad cramps. either peppermint tea or you can get capsules with peppermint oil in. can't remember what they're called but they're with all the ibs rememdies in the pharmacy.

Don't take the peppermint oil capsules without checking with your doctor. They work for IBS as peppermint is an effective smooth muscle relaxant. But the uterus is also a smooth muscle!

Fennel tea can help with trapped gas.
