am being induced for medical reasons at 37 +6 on Friday.

just now I went to the loo (twice) and both times when I wiped there was a big amount (a teaspoons worth) of yellow/brown tinged thick mucus (sorry sorry for TMI).

is this is a show? it's a good sign right? could labour be imminent?

also my knickers are soaking and i'm pretty sure that it isn't pee! but no flood of waters breaking ness.

anyone know what might be going on?

could be a show.. as long as any fluid you are leaking is clear, taht's ok.. you don't want to lose any murky fluid.

big globs of thick snot like or EWCM type show is a sign things could be moving.. but it could be a few days until labour starts.

put a pad on, and leave for an hour to see if you are still leaking.. call Maternity unit for advice too

esp as you are deemed high risk, if things are moving, the would want to know

if you sit on the loo and are leaking and can't stop the flow, it's waters not wee

also it smells different to wee

it could be a hindwater leak

it might mean even if you are induced, things could get going quick if your cervix is ripe

could be sounds a bit like my pg1. Brown show was about 48 hours before I started to leak. My waters didn't go in a big flood until I was well into labour. Put a pad in and see how quickly it gets wet.

Sounds exactly like the shows I had with both of mine (although there was a bit of blood too).

Lulumaam gives good advice.

how exciting! Good luck, sophable.

sounds like the show I had on both occasions, so good luck! 1st time, waters broke with a noticeable pop within 24 hours. Second time was two days ago, and no baby yet, but some fairly intense pains for the last two hours so here is hoping!

IME waters didn't flood but came in bits over 24 hours. Wear a pad, and phone your midwife for advice, it could be your waters.

I had a show at 39 weeks with my first but still had to be induced at 41+5. It doesn't definitely mean you're starting, but it is a good sign.

Best of luck Sophable, fingers crossed things kick off before Friday, although I'm sure Friday will be fine for you too.

I just did a little search to see if you'd had your baby yet as I've been away and just before I left you'd had the results for your OC. How lovely for my search to reveal a hint of a positive outcome.

Will keep everything crossed for you in the next few days

Best of luck
