Anyone else lost hair DURING pregnancy?

My hair loss slowed down, as everyone said it would, until about week 5 or 6, and since then it has been increasing. I am now week 18 and last time I washed it a scary amount came out. There are no bald patches and it still looks ok, but this isnt meant to happen til after is it?

I know that my thyroid and iron level are fine and I am not anaemic. I stopped the multivits because they were making me constipated, but I think my diet is pretty varied.

Someone come and tell me it happened to them and to stop worrying?

I seem to lose a lot more hair when I comb it now when it's wet and wash it. A lot more. But it looks exactly the same and grows a lot faster so I wonder if that is the reason why? I now have short hair but when it was longer I used to lose more. I now lose about the same amount as when it was long.

I am trying to convince myself it's just because there is more hair to lose and that I am not going bald!!

I lost a lot of hair in both pregnancies and it grew back through in silly tufty bits at the front after I'd had my DD. It was v annoying and looked really daft!

I haven't lost hair on my head, but notice that all over it is growing far more slowly. I have gone 2 months without waxing my legs - normally I'd have to do it every 3 weeks! I guess gregnancy affects us all differently on the hair front.

pregnancy, even!

Has anyone else found that waxing is a lot more painful now as well?

God I had a bikini wax about a month ago and holy shit it hurt like hell. Not looking forward to my next one in 3 weeks time!

Weird. Yes, like you said emmyloo2 it still looks pretty normal. And it is very long at the moment. Maybe I'll try to save the worrying for when I have little tufts at the front GokWannabe! Going to go for a haircut next weekend so will ask for some advice then.

Everyone told me the hairs on my legs would stop growing, but they haven't at all. How annoying.
