Please can someone give me some advice - i am currently 15 weeks pregnant with DC2 and I am feeling awful. I feel weak, headaches and seem to have a constant tummy upset. I saw my GP who said my she doubted i was anaemic as I had good blood test results last month, but has tested again. I just struggle to get through the day at work as I feel so ill - My dd is 4 and I dont remember feeling this bad when was pregnant with her - just wondered if anyone else felt this bad and if it was normal?

You poor thing - pregnancy can be really tough going - I was sick every day with both of mine and never really felt well at all - lots of low level illness - colds, upset tummy, headaches etc

I tended to rest whenever I could and ate as healthily as I could - soups and smoothies are easy to digest if you can't face 'proper' food and top up with supplements.

Hope you're feeling better soon

umm,i would push doctor, keep on telling them how exausted you are and try to note any other symptoms,
but,
im 34 weeks at the mo and im pretty knackered...but at 15-20 weeks i was BEYOND tierd! honestly thought something must be wrong,i was sure i didnt feel so bad with dd...and i think that that was because i didnt have a toddler to run around after!!

hang on in there!

Sorry you're having such a hard time. If its any consolation, you're not the only one - but thats not what you want to hear.

I'm 32 weeks with DC3.

At 14 weeks I had ok iron levels (on the low side of normal but told that was fine) then at 18 weeks I had more bloods done for something else but they picked up anaemia. In those 4 weeks my iron levels had dropped loads.

So you could be anaemic. When do you find out the results of the latest blood test?

In the meantime, can you ask your GP for a sick note if you're feeling so unwell?

hiya juliec26

i have a 2 yr old boy and when i was pregnant before even finding out i felt really awful. and it jus got worse and worse. i was tired all the time sick and kept going dizzy and then everything would go black, i had to take 3 weeks hols at work and then maternity leave straight after cause i couldnt even manage that and i was 26 week then.

i did have anemia, i had a fine blood test and the next one came back 2 low and had to have tablets.

every pregnancy is different and i think its probably just some like us that are abit unlucky feeling so unwell all time through it. get plenty of sleep and rest, and take it easy. it will be no time before your babys here

I think I will ring and see if I can find out my blood test results, had them on Wednesday so sure if there was a problem they would be back by now - The doctor did offer me Iron tablets, but I thoughtI would wait, but perhaps should of just taken them - hoping to get the good middle bit soon
