Feeling dreadful today

I am 13+1 and feeling AWFUL today. I have been feeling sick constantly since about 5 weeks, but was beginning to feel a bit better. Today I woke up feeling so ill, a hair's breadth from actually throwing up.

I am rather deflated about this as was feeling nearly normal yesterday, is it usual for things to suddenly go backwards or am I doomed to feel sick til the end of the pregnancy?

Pissed off.

aaah, eat a cake.

No really, you'll feel better.

I was sicky until 16 weeks with last one. Better with this one though.

No advice but lots of sympathy. I'm 7+1 and feel like shit. Have felt like this for a week and don't think I can stand it much longer. Poor you having to get through so many weeks of it.

Thanks, I've just eaten some crisps (don't fancy anything else), waiting to see if they'll stay down.

I don't mind feeling a bit sick, but get panicky if I think I am going to throw up as I am emetophobic. What's even more unfair is that just before I got pg I had the norovirus, so felt sick for weeks then too. Grrr!

rocklover I'm emetophobic too and really sympathise (I recognise your name from answering some of my moans on the sickness from over the past few weeks). I've been too scared to go out of the house for 6/7 weeks now as a/ I feel too rough anyway and b/ I'm scared of being sick whilst out. This whole ms thing is horrendous. I feel mildly better for a day/afew days, think it's getting better then it comes back and alwasy worse than before. I'm now nearly 10 weeks and had a tough time last week feeling about 10 secs away from throwing up for several days, and just pray that it might be starting to slowly wear off now, but deep down paniking that the worst might yet to come. Poor you getting norovirus too - I panic about that every winter but don't hear sabout it being around in summer...I remember last winter when it was so cold and norovirus everywhere for so long I got scared to go out the house incase I got it, so don't know how I'd cope if I got it....you have my sympathies and just hope we both pick up soon.

I don't know if this helps but I flitted between feeling normal and death slightly warmed over between 12 and 18 weeks, lots of nausea/ vomiting with days of feeling fine in between. I thought it would last for my entire pregnancy when it continued into the fourth month but it does get better!

I lived on crisps and toast mainly but decent alternatives were porridge and bananas, easy to digest and seemed to stay down more than anything else.

Good luck

Gracie xx

Thanks Angel and Gracie, I am feeling slightly better, but not great. If it's any help Angel, the Norovirus was not as bad as the media has painted it to be, certainly no projectile vomiting or anything! If you did (god forbid) get it, you'd cope, because we just do, I don't know how, but we do.

Gracie, your post has reassured me, so thank you. I think I feel so shocking today as I had a headache last night which stopped me from sleeping very well and I always feel worse when I'm tired, so I hoping that's the reason I feel grim.

I was sicky constantly with DS from 6-11 weeks, and then it was on and off until I was about 15 weeks I think. Some days I would be fine and other days I'd feel awful and sometimes throw up.

From 15 weeks I was fine, until the heartburn kicked in at about 25 weeks
