I have been wondering a lot lately how i can tell which kicks are feet and which are hands etc - its killing me not knowing which position she is lying in and so i was hoping you guys could help me out if u know how ur baby is lying - where do you get the most kicks??

this last week i have been getting battered to the right side of my belly under my ribs. Its actually getting quite uncomfortable sometimes where i have to move to give her more room or just to stop her sticking her foot/hand out so far. DS1 was never this much of a wriggler so im slightly worried what i have inside of me now!

Any help from you ladies would be much appreciated! As im 27 wks nearly she still has room to turn around but it would be nice to have an idea of how to tell which way she is lying sometimes!

Google "spinning babies" and grab a pen

I think you can only really tell if they are head down or up and which side they are on so your head down is your tummy harder on the left or the right - They are on the hard side lol!

I am 27 weeks on tuesday and we are breech at the mo as all the kicks are down and he is lying on the right side.

I find to tell the difference between a hand and a foot the kick is a jab where the hand is a slower action - hope that makes sense!

am 31 weeks, and apparently currently head down. am also being kicked (although it feels like being stretched more than kicked) in exactly that position. ouch!
DS did exactly that, too, and was head down and engaged nice and early and in good position for birth. no idea if that's always true, or if that's based on anything scientific. but that was my experience last time.

thanks! iv checked that site out and feel so much more relieved to find out baby has been lying in the optimum position a lot lately so thats a good sign even if she can move around for a few weeks longer!
