High risk of downs, large bladder and low amniotic fluid - are these linked?

a friend of mine text me to say sorry not been in touch had some baby worries - high downs risk, low amniotic fluid and large bladder.
Now all I can do is worry for her and don't feel it's right to ask her if the conditions are linked or three separate issues.
she said in the text she'd be in touch - which I took to mean she doesn't want to talk about it which I totally accept, but would like to find out a bit more so I can understand when I do get to speak to her

TIA

yeah i'm pretty sure the things will be linked. my dd has downs sydrome, and when i was pg she had dilated kidneys, and i had excessive fluid. i guess it may not be downs, could be another sydrome or something but i'm pretty sure the things will be connected. it's not necessarily doom and gloom though, my dd is gorgeous and very healthy!

thanks maisiemackenzie

i know its not all doom and gloom but being told that your baby is likely to have Downs must be very hard to get your head around.
How old is your dd and did you know the risk of downs was high before she was born?

Although my DS1 had dilated kidneys and I had excessive fluid, he is now 8 years old, doesn't have downs, his kidneys are fine, he is very healthy (as an ox!), and I had a high risk for downs as well. So it's not always what you think.
