Hi ladies, am 13 weeks today and about 4 o'clock this afternoon while at work I had some really bad cramping very low down in my abdomen. It lasted for about an hour or so, now it has moved up under my ribs and feels like a bad stitch. I can feel it in my back too. Had a nuchal scan yesterday which showed a happy, healthy and very bouncy baby but now am getting worried. Any help advice or reassurance you can give will be greatly appreciated xx

MissCKitty · 24/07/2010 19:48

it was so you could get some specific advice... i'm not saying i think it's serious.

you're better off speaking to a health professional with pregnancy health concerns.

just call them or NHS Diret or 24 if you don't have a number or can't get through.

Oh ok sorry paranoid freak at the moment lol.
Will give my midwife a call if it doesn't settle.

I had pains under my ribs which we like a bad stitch when I was around 16 weeks I think. We went to the out of ours Dr as you have to phone them and not the midwives here. (It was late at night, during the day have to phone normal dr).

Anyway, it turned out to be heartburn (she said), gave me some tablets and sent me on my way. The pain was so bad I couldn't breathe, but it passed pretty quickly as soon as I'd taken the tablets.

How do you feel now? Has it passed? Hope it's nothing serious, keeping everything crossed for you here
