Am 6 weeks on Tuesday

And getting quite a lot of niggles and cramps. No spotting (thank God)

Have googled it and it all seems normal due to the stretching etc, especially as this is second pg and had em cs with DS so have the scar there (albeit scar is 4yrs old now)

Just wanted reasurance that others have had it really, google isn't the same as Mumsnet

Yes, same here, had it with first pg and with this one. Is perfectly normal.

It seems worse if I do stuff - cleaned the bathroom this morning and it was worse afterwards

I am taking it easy but at same time, have a 4 yr old to look after and I don't want to rest up too much as did that with first pg and being inactive didn't do me any favours

My local EPU said that feelings almost as if you're due your period ("full" sort of feeling) was very normal. I don't think you've anything to worry about.

lilmamma · 25/07/2010 18:33

my daughter was like that, she kept saying she had like period type pains and backache, she is now 18 weeks +..at this rate i will be bald by the time this baby is born lol..

The midwife said niggles and period type pains is all due to ligaments stretching etc,as long as there is no spotting its all normal..

Congratulations puss!

At six weeks I felt all sorts of weird shifting pains, and it was sore around my scar. I also had some period type pains too.
But then it's all eased up now at 14 weeks.

Good luck!!

Hi. Yep I am six weeks too (have been thinking 4 weeks for so long that I forgot, lol!!! )

I have had niggling, twinges and slight pain/discomfort last week and this week. Def know what you mean about being worse after doing anything though. I walk everywhere and after a walk into town -all up hill- I feel very worried, but it soon passes. Thought I was having a bleed the other day, but thank fuck it only lasted a few hours and was light brownish colour, so have been reassured its nowt major... phew. Congrats and hope all is going well

I have a c section scar as well so perhaps that is contributing to it. Have pooched out already and looping hairbands around my trouser button/button hole

Dreading work tmw as well as have been soooo spaced out that I think they are going to twig and I don't want them to yet! Cannot face the whole oh you are leaving, start training people now crap!
