Hi i wonder if anyone can offer me any reassurance today.I am 11wks 6 days peg and have had some loss of symptoms for a week now.Never really had many symptoms to be honest but bit of nausea and big appetite and tiredness.Anyway yu know when it gets into your head and wont go.Its 5th baby for me and 1st for dh.Had scan at 10wks all ok saw hb.
Saw gp today and she tried to reassure me with the doppler which of course didnt work. She couldnt hear it but said the disply was showing a hb of 130 which cant be mine.Booked a scan for tomorrow am which is nice and quick but in the meantime i feel so worried and just wondered if anyone has experienced this. Please only positive answers its not the time for negative ones. Thanks.

12 weeks is often a bit early to hear the heartbeat on the Doppler, it can take until 16-17 weeks. Even then when my midwife was about to listen for the heartbeat, she told me that she might not be able to find it yet depending on my placenta and the baby's position.

I hope everything is fine for you tomorrow.

Midwife struggled to find a heartbeat at 15 weeks for me but everything was fine.

thankyou that does help. You know this but need to hear it from the "horses mouth" dont you. My dh seems quite reassured by the machine registering the 130 bpm but he is a man and they are easily pleased.

less than 12 weeks is definitely very early for them to pick up a heartbeat with the doppler so chances are everything is okay. i saw the midwife last week when i was 14 weeks and she offered to try and hear it but warned she might not be able to. she seemed more confident about picking it up from 16 weeks. as i've had a lot of MCs i didn't want to risk it as i knew i'd go into meltdown at the first hint of a problem.

Must be awful i have had only one mc(missed) and am a bag of nerves so god only knows what its like for you. Have a scan tomorrow so hopefully all well and will be reassured for umm...2 days maybe.Cant even have a few drinks to calm me nerves. At least its at 10 so wont have long to wait in the morning.

Good luck for tomorrow!

It's normal for symptoms to disappear around now, and as others have said it is on the early side for finding the hb with a Doppler.
