Is labour starting?

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow, 1st baby. Have had completely normal pregnancy this far.

Last night I had no sleep at all as the baby was moving like I have never felt before. It wasn't exactly painful but was extremely uncomfortable and more or less constant. A week ago I was 4/5 engaged, however this morning my bump was noticably lower and I can feel the baby's head in my pelvis.

I have felt sick on and off all day and have had diarrhoea.

Could this be a signal that things are starting to happen?

I feel a bit restless and strange, but then I quite often feel like that anyway.

Sounds like it to me, especially the diarhoeah. Also when my waters broke, I was lying in bed and the baby suddenley moved really violently and made me wake up with eyes wide open then PING !

So the movements too might suggest it is happening. With my 2nd I felt all sorry for myself and suddenly wanted to go home and be by myself, I felt all like I had been hurt by everyone and wanted to lick my wounds but no one had done anything, it was like an instinct to get away.

Anything else happened?

Also I shampooed all the interior of my car two days before in a frenzy

I'm actually hoping to have a home birth though I do have a bag packed just in case. I have been assured that they will bring some drugs to the house!

DH read a news article to me earlier about a donkey in Russia being forced to paraglide and I was distraught, really utterly inconsolable. I wonder if that means anything!

I think I'll go and have a bath to see if that calms me down a bit. I can't wait to meet him/her.

I feel very grumpy today and got irrationally angry with the man who came to read the electricity meter. I am also annoyed with DH because I had a dream he went to Las Vegas and left me with someone from the NCT whilst spending all our money on prostitutes! (N.B. This has never actually happened.)

Nope, i was irrantionaly angry with my husband last week when i had a dream that he had been having a text affair with Alexandra Burke. You are merely pregnant my dear. 'Crazy' comes as part of the deal as far as i can work out!
