Hi - just looking for somewhere to rant really! I am 35+5 and can't seem to get any sleep! I don't know whether it is a combination of the weight of my bump plus the heat or just my body telling me to get used to it! Yesterday I went for 2 longish walks and didn't sleep a wink! I tried napping today and the same thing happened!
Does anyone have any advice/techniques that might be useful?

thanks!

hi cupcakes!

didn't want to leave your post unanswered.

is this your first?

no real advice apart from sleep when you can - don't listen to any of that "don't sleep during the day, you'll never sleep at night" nonsense!

my sound silly, but i found getting up and doing something during the middle of the night the first thing that tired me out (our ironing basket has never been so empty!)

also, just rest as much as possible

hopefully someone might have some better ideas - i have a friend who swore by a hot mug of horlicks (even in the summer!)

best wishes - not long to go now

Ok I have posted about this before but it really does work and is 100% safe for preggy people. I started using it in desperation and now I'm terrified to go without it!

Noctura - it's a homeopathic remedy and you get it from various chemists and places like holland & barratt.

It's 100% safe because it doesn't contain any active ingredients. Homeopathic preparations are diluted to such an extent it's likely that there isn't a single molecule of the original ingredient left.

I've found that if I, or rather the bump, gets hot, I definitely won't sleep. Some nights when it's hotter I've rinsed a flannel in cold water and then put it on my bump - it seems to cool me down enough to let me sleep.

If you can sleep during the day, do.

Whatever works though eh?
