Tongly fingers/pins and needles in pregnancy - anyone else?

Hello,

19 weeks pregnant and it seems I post a different niggle on here for each week of pregnancy.

I have been getting numb pins and needle hands when I wake up - not necessarily new as I used to get this quite a lot then had osteopathy and changed pillows and it got better. But now after I wake up and shake my hands out and everything becomes okay throughout the day it recurs just in the middle finger of my right hand on the top bit.

My mum had carpel tunnel syndrome in pregnancy so maybe it is that but it doesn't fit the mold exactly as it really is a problem with just one finger.

Any ideas? Midwife checked blood pressure and was fine so not that.

Hi yellow

It's quite possible it is carpal tunnel, as it affects the first 3 digits of each hand. I believe it can affect all or just one.

I get probs with my hands anyway, but I get tingles in my last 2 digits lol so not quite carpal tunnel but something like.

You might be able to get some splints to help overnight.

i would say carpal tunnel too. make an appointment with your gp tho, they can tell you if its anything more.
