Silly question about blood tests and hcg

Probably a silly question but I've just had a blood test to check my hcg level and I'm wondering how they'll quote the result at me. Will they quote a level at me or just say it seems fine for my dates? And if they quote a number at me what kind of level is ok for 6 +5?

You usually get told what the level is, and levels vary widely from woman to woman. However, I'm sure that they will be able to reassure you that the level is "normal". If there is any concern about the level, they will do a repeat test in 48 hours, as levels normally double within 48 - 72 hours.

There is a range of numbers that could be normal, so I suppose firstly they will check you are within that. I've always had two tests, I think its the increase that's the important thing - so I wouldn't automatically freak out if they tell you you need a second test.

I was given an actual number, but only because I specifically asked for it so Icould do my own google-based research. The normal range is huge and it is the rate of increase that is important.
