I have the sorest shins! Two days ago I did walk a lot but I do a fair amount of exercise (including pilates and yoga and gym) so I'm not unfit. Anyone else have this and if so, any remedies? I've been waking up with it

Thanks

I had really sore shins with my second prenancy. I don't think it had anything to do with fitness levels as I have always walked a lot.

I found sleeping with my feet on a pillow and generally putting my feet up higher that my hips helped a lot.

Also get your OH to give you a foot massage. It may not help, but it won't hurt!

If you are really worried ask your midwife.

if it's waking you up (had similar myself in last pregnancy) then take a couple of paracetamol - used to work for me

Are you wearing flatter shoes than you normally do? Don't have any pregnancy experience of this but my mum wears very high shoes for work and if she wear totally flat ones at the weekend and walks a lot she get a lot of pain in her shins, just because you walk in a different way and use those muscles more than you do when you are wearing heels. Just an idea.
