Maternity Document... Can someone help me find it pls

My contract stipulates that my maternity provisions will be in accordance with the

Employment Protection (Consolidated) Act 1978

I have googled this but can only find an index and not the actual text to see what this actually means. Can anyone help?

Hi, although I am a solicitor I do not specialise in Employment law. I have however had a look at the Employment Protection (Consolidation) Act 1978 and the reason that you can only see the 'index' is that the majority (if not all of it) appers to have been repealed. The Act that appears to have superseded the 1978 Act is called Employment Rights Act 1996. Perhaps have a look at that one instead and see if that helps.

There may be an Employment lawyer on here who can point you more in the right direction.
