What are the chances this is a 2nd MMC?

I had a MMC last Nov at 10 weeks and a spontaneous MC at 5 weeks in the new year.

I'm currently 10 weeks and fretting!

I had a scan at 6 weeks and all was good and we saw a heartbeat etc. I have been feeling nauseous and exhausted with saore boobs most of the time and it's been slowly easing since 8 weeks in that it's fewer hours per day.

What are the chances that we will turn up to the scan in 2 weeks time and it will be a MMC?

I'm not sure but I would imagine quite slim. It's only a 2% chance of it happening in the first place. If you can afford it a private scan would help. I had a MMC discovered at 10 weeks a couple of weeks ago. If we decide to try again I will be having a private scan at 10 weeks as I know I couldn't stand the wait! Fingers crossed.

The fact that your nausea eased off at that time doesn't mean anything. Its common for nausea to tail off as the first trimester goes along.
If you can afford it then go and have a private scan (probably less that £100) now rather than worry yourself mad for the next two weeks.
Good luck - I am sure it will all be ok.

It's not the money as my EPU said to pop in any time. I just don't have the time!!

Thank you all for your replies and I'm sorry you've had the same experience

yes, after 2 MCs (6w and 9w, so similar to you) I fretted too, and still do (now 21w).
My MS came and went, from 8 weeks. It went for a few days, then came back for a few, etc etc.

Try not to fret, and the very best of luck. Let us know how you get on x

I had an MMC at 8 weeks in April this year(discovered at 12 wk scan). I was already almost 4 weeks pregnant again though! I was petrified but I have had my 12 week scan this time, and am currently 14 weeks, and can hear baby's hb on my doppler.

Loudlass - did your symptoms stop at 8 weeks too or were you still having them after then?

try not to focus too much on the symptoms. When I had my MMC, the symptoms were still there, for around a week after I had the D&C, so it doesnt always indicate that things are OK or not.
Also, every pg is differene - some dont have MS, and some do. With this pg, my boobs were really uncomfortable for weeks, then it suddenly stopped. But with my DS 6 years ago, I dont remember them ever being painful.

Just try to be positive. There's no reason not to be.
And try to go for your scan at the EPU - it could stop you going insane (as it did with me!) - fit it in however you can. Your work are obliged to give you time off for things like this, if thats whats stopping you.

well i'm on holiday next week and the scan is the following tuesday. I can't make it in this week without taking 2 toddlers in with me and they wouldn't cope with seeing me scanned etc. I will just have to wait it out.
