Pulled muscle sensation really low down - any ideas?

I'm 25+4 and since yesterday have developed quite a painful, achy lower back and sensation like a pulled muscle round the front, really low down (over my pubic bone). It's fine when I am sitting down but walking is really uncomfortable. Is it possible to pull a muscle down there?

Think I'm off dog walking duty tomorrow

I got this. It only came on if I walked at a reasonable speed. My obstetritian (or however youy spell it) told me to walk slower. I got overtaken by old ladies on zimmer frames. Sympathy!!

It's SPD I reckon...I would be very suprised if I'm wrong from what you have said. Speak to your midwife and get referred for physio.

If it's SPD, it can be really sore going up and down steps, or getting in and out of the car and rolling over in bed.

It could also be that you have over stretched your round ligaments as everything loosens up a bit due the relaxin in your system.

Worth mentioning to your MW or GP either way as you can get a referral to a physio who can give you some strengthening exercises, and a support band if necessary.

Oh, and SPD was more of a stabbing pain right in the middle of the pubic bone for me and was centralised. If it's ligaments, it tends to be feel worse on on side ime

Ok thanks all - I am seeing my mw on Tuesday so I will mention it...definitely muscle-achy rather than a stabbing pain, but what with my back aching it does rather feel like my pelvis is on the verge of collapse. Ah, the joys of pregnancy
