Reflexology in Pregnancy - ok?

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and am looking at Reflexology as a way to relax and "ease" some of the more unpleasant symptoms (like constipation)!

Can anyone give me any advice or tell me if its worth it?

Thanks

I think with reflexology (as with other things like accupuncture/accupressure etc) you need to make sure that the practitioner you are going to knows how to use these therapies within pregnancy, for e.g. there are a number of accupuncture points that are off-limits during pregnancy as they can stimulate the uterus so its defo important to find an experienced person.

I don't have any experience of reflexology so can't really comment, but I have been having accupuncture throughout my pregnancy (i'm now 36 weeks) and that has been a good experience for me and has helped with relaxation especially now with the finish line in sight!

I have had regular reflexology before and after becoming pregnant currently 14 weeks - My reflexologist does ante natal reflexology, so perfectly safe - I intend to carry on having it monthly and will then have weekly toward end of pregnancy as meant to help with birth etc. . not sure how much it helps as have only really had sickness and tiredness and nothing that can be done about that - but very relaxing - good luck

It's fine IF you make sure you're practitioner knows what they are doing. Lovely in fact. Had to be woken up several times...

The lady I have found is fully qualified in maternity reflexology. I've never done it before but liked the idea and figured it would be good in the run up to the birth!

Oooh I love reflexology in pregnancy I've found it's always helped with relaxing me/heartburn and back etc. I also used it to encourage labour once I was 40+ wks in last pg, my contractions started 10 minutes after reflexology !
