really bad pains

i have been gettin really bad pains for a few weeks now this is my third baby the pains are quite irregular but i dont ever remember braxton hicks ever being this painful i have also had a clear mucus like discharge this morning thought it might be part of my plug but there is no blood i am 39 weeks pregnant now due on the 22nd and am feeling quite worried i dont want to ring the hospital as they tell me to come in and get checked out and i have already had two false alarms so if any one has any advice it would be much appreciated

maybe start trying to time them to see if they are in some sort of pattern? if it was me at your stage in your pregnancy i wouldnt be worried about calling the midwife for advice, after all thats what they're there for. just tell them what you've posted here and go on their advice. better to get checked out if thats what they advise, even if it is another false alarm, than worrying over whats happening x
