Downs syndrome blood results

I got my results quite a while ago and they were 1 in 3067 and said it was low risk. My sister is 11 yrs older than me and has diabetes. She is 2 mth behind me preg. wise and her blood results came back 1 in 23,000 and low risk. The m/w told her it was brilliant and what she would expect of a 20 yr old. I am 24.

I am now thinking there is a 20,000 difference here, which I would imagine is HUGE in these terms. Could they have made an error with my figures? if so, have they missed out the 2 or am I high risk. Not that I would have an amnio-centisis (not sure if that's how you spell it) anyway, regardless of the results, but would want to be prepared if there was a high chance of having a downs baby

I would prefer to wait until my next app. with m/w as opposed to ringing now so just wondering if anyone else has had something like this happen, or know if 1 in 3067 is low.

1:3067 is low

At our hospital high risk is 1:250 and under

I had a result of 1:301, then 1:602 after anomoly scan which was still considered low risk

If you have any worries phone ARC, they are great at going through results with you and giving you different things to think about, options etc
