...is the time when your nipples start leaking colostrum any indication of when you'll give birth?

In my last 2 pregnancies I started leaking small amounts of colostrum at around 32-34 weeks. It was enough to leave little yellow marks on my bras by about 36 weeks and that's when I started wearing breast pads.

I am now 29 weeks into my 3rd pregnancy and this time it's twins, so obviously I have a higher chance of delivering early. I am already leaking colostrum, have small yellow marks on my bras and can feel a very gentle feeling like the let-down reflex in one breast when the other one is squeezed or squashed.

I have no other indications of early labour either in my health or in the health of the babies. I carried my 2 other children to full-term.

SO - any correlation between the 2 or am I just succumbing to a bout of pregnancy paranoia?!

I hope not! I started leaking at about 25 weeks and, as much as I hate being pregnant, I hope baby stays in there a bit longer! (I'm 30 weeks at the moment)

I started at 16ish weeks and am currently 34+3, so I don't think so.

I never leaked colostrum in any of my three pregnancies. Thankfully, all 3 children did consent to being born (though DD3 needed a shove) at 8 days late, 1day late and 1 day late.

I leaked like a good un with both of mine at about 25 weeks DS 1 was a week early and had a CS with DS2 at 39 weeks. So, no, I don't think so.

I started leaking at 20 weeks with first pregnancy and he was born at 42 weeks after being induced.

Leaked from around 28 weeks this time so hoping that this one isn't going to be even more determined to stay put!
