Pregnant with twins - advice on diet

I am 11 weeks pregnant with twins and quite frankly I have never felt so awful. I am exhausted and feel like all my energy has been sapped from me. I was wondering if changing my diet might help. I haven't got any cravings but major aversions and unfortunately one of these is meat and fish. I am worried maybe I'm not getting enough protein - any advice?

Pregnancare is good as it has all the goodness, i also drink ovaltine has loads of goodness for pregnant woman.

Cereal?? if you can managae it again has folic acid and b vitamins.

cereal bars have a look at the nutrients on them some of them not so good.

Ermmmmm cuppa soups? little but do the job.

Anything that you can manage maybe make it when you arent feeling as bad, like chop cucumber and bits you like just keep nibbeling on them ..

I know how terrible it can be im 9 weeks and had a week of hell last week where i thought i could just lie down and die it was horrible

My lovely DH was great made mine for me .. maybe you have someone that could make you something cause i found actually making it myself i just couldnt eat it!!

I've taken to eating mixed bean salad in vinaigrette (available in a tin at tesco) with brown pasta. Totally recommend it. I rinse the beans to remove some of the sugar.

Have you had your blood test results back yet from your booking-in appt? It's quite common apparently for multiple pregnancies to make you anaemic - happened to me this time round. Symptoms can include extreme tiredness and breathlessness. Almost as soon as I started taking prescribed iron tablets, I felt sooooo much better. orth chasingup you esults if you've not heard back yet?

Ooh Bellabelly - I am breathless too. I haven't even had my first ante natal appointment yet although I do know I have an underactive thyroid which was ok until I got pregnant and then my levels went through the floor. Thanks for all the suggestions - I am going to try almonds. jjkm - not sure about the cocoa powder!!! Oh and just discovered oxtail soup in a can is ok too.
