So am pregnant (11+2) with my first and paranoid about everything (much to DP's amusement) but I can't help it I am a born worrier. The other day I bought some herbal tea to try and reduce my caffeine intake (am a coffee-aholic) and now am having second thoughts about it. I am probably being really silly but I don't want to risk any problems. The one I bought contains cinnamon, rosehip and liquorice root and I've been reading that they can be unsafe for pregnant women. Should I just stick to decaff coffee and be done with it???

Most herbal teas should be fine, but I'd stick with the basics - like chamomile and peppermint, and later on, in the 3rd trimester, raspberry leaf is brilliant. You do have to be careful with some herbs though, so best to check it out first.
To start with, you might find this useful!
As I've just seen, it'll be the cinnamon and liquorice that are to be wary of, but as it's culinary, perhaps they're just being on the super-safe side?
Hth!

Since you are a born worrier, stick with what you feel safest about.

Me who am never a worrier, I'd drink the licorice root tea and not think twice. I also drank tonnes of tea in most of my pregnancies (no problems).

Try Rooibos, or stick to chamomile, fennel & peppermint (but be careful with peppermint as it can make heartburn worse and shouldn't be consumed in huge amounts when pregnant anyway - a few cups a day is fine). Or fruit teas.

I drink a lot of Rooibos or just decaf normal tea and have the odd "real" coffee.
