Hi Im hoping someone out there can help me. Im 24wks pregnant, and have been provided with my tape and chart to document my "bump size". Last visit with midwife was over 4wks ago, & Im assuming because Im a Nurse she did'nt explain how to measure myself. I just thought when the time came I'd read up on it, but nothing makes sense! So when I did take measurements it's was off the scale ( 2nd baby, huge bump! & they did'nt do the measuring thing last time!). Please help!!

I had my first measurement at 28 weeks, it's just from your pubic bone to the top of your bump when you are laying down. She probably didn't tell you how to do it because you are not expected to measure yourself.

I've had my husband do it out of interest but I think you will get different measurements with different people too, so better to have your midwife do it each time.
