i just potty trained my daughter at 2.2 years. I feel like it was too easy and she still has had a few accidents, but in general she seems to hold it in till we go to the toilet unless she is distracted or something. BUT it seems too easy, should she be taking herself to the toilet? or is it right that i am still taking her? its only been 6 days. I dont think she is good enough to know she needs and tell me and get there in time usually its quite instantanious. like "mummy toilet" then she wees.
any advice?

DD2 was v. similar when potty trained, at a similar age. To start with she needed frequent reminders and would wet herself if not reminded. But it's been a few months now and she reliably knows when she needs to go and resents being made to go when she doesn't think she needs to (e.g. before a car trip). So relax! Some children are just easy to potty train. (I see it as a reward for putting up with totally crap sleeping and other challenging behaviour from my two...) And the "knowing" will come with time.

Sounds like you're off to a cracking start so just enjoy it! If she has an accident or so, no big deal... but if she can stay dry, you're laughing aren't you?

(whispers) poos ok too?

That was the killer for us I'm afraid to say.

DS was incredibly easy to potty train. He was also just over 2 yrs old. He has only wet the bed once in his life and I also remember hearing him get himself up out of bed in the middle of night and go to the toilet, he was 2 and a half, I thought it was rather cute!
He has never had an accident outside of the home either.
Some children just pick it up quicker than others. It's good isnt it!

(DD is only 4 months old so im waiting for her turn she'll probably be a complete nightmare!)

poos have not even been tried.. DD only does 1 poo a day without fail and its always in her nappy in the morning. like when we get her out of bed...
good to know its not just fluke but good luck!
