Does it get worse?? I want your horror stories!

So we've done potty training for a week now and have had:
:: wees on floor
:: wees in pants/trousers
:: wees on potty through pants
:: wees in buggy
:: wees on loo but willy directing wee through gap between bowl and seat and onto mummy
:: poo on floor, seeping through floorboards
:: big sticky poo in pants, mummy bent over loo trying to scrape it off into loo without getting it on hands, mentally calculating cost of pair of cheap pants and whether it'd be too wasteful to just bin them instead.

All at the same time as our kitchen floor's being done so washing machine is out of action.

So tell me your worst PT stories - I need some perspective!

ok,
day 1 thought to myself, tomorow we begin.
ran the bath for ds, who says, me do wee in toilet.....then does.
big big claps, me bieng ott with excitement.

turns to turn tap off. looks at ds who is walking towards me with tears in his eyes...then BIG donkey dollop on the landing on the carpet.

scoops up donkey dollop and wrestles it into the loo.

pops ds into the bath.

he looks up at me and says "done more poo in bedroom mummy"

diaorrhoea all over powder blue bedroom carpet.
sigh
cleaned it up, decided to join ds in the bath.
settles down and begins to pour water over my head to wash my hair. ds tells me " i did wee in bath mummy"

great, pouring piss on my hair.

then, ds looks at me very very oddly and proceeds to vomit all over me in a projectile manner.

so now i have got vom dripping off my tats and flaoting around my nether regions.

so i put on the shower, shower us both down and try to shove the bits of food down the plughole with big toe.

twas baaad day that day.

Wow! That's the best (sorry, worst) story I've ever read! You poor thing, you've put things in perspective definitely.

I've got three potty-trained children now and never had that many accidents!

We started this week and have had pretty much the same experience as you JamandJerusalem. Thankfully not the same horror that sunburntats had. I am all for binning knickers filled with poo. I got given a pair back today from nursery where she attends 2 mornings and I opened the bag and thought I was going to be sick.

Thankfully Tesco knickers are nice and cheap.

My dd has got so fed up of me asking if she'd like to do a wee wee, that she has started ignoring me altogether, so I am laying off asking so much. Makes you want to give up though sometimes, eh?

[Ahem] - OP - what exactly possessed you to decide to do this in a week when your washing machine is out of action ?

Definitely throw away pants with sticky poos - pants are cheaper than disposable nappies FGS.

I have to say, I'm with Flamingo. Put him back in nappies. If he's not ready, he will breathe a huge sigh of relief. If he is in fact ready he will react with huge indignation and start concentrating a bit more on the matter in hand (or as it were loo, or potty)

Incidentally, if you are going to move straight to the loo (we did) then a trainer seat is a good investment to avoid the weeing-through-the-gap issue.

My DD thinks that it great to wee on grass! This has now progressed to pooing on grass - i don't have a dog as didn't want the hassle of picking up poo in the garden, now looks like i will have to do it for my little on instead! Arhhhhhhh
