We started potty training my almost 2.5yo DD around 10 days ago. The first week went very well, she was asking to go on the potty and had 0-2 wee accidents a day (no poo accidents). The accidents she did have were very small wees, which she then finished on the potty (she would tell us she was wet immediately after the accident). Nursery (she goes full-time) said she had taken to it very well.
Amazing! Or so we thought.
This week has been a train wreck. On Monday alone she had more accidents than she did the entire previous week, and yesterday she had five (including her first ever poo accident).
Is this normal? I don’t know whether we should stop for a few weeks to be honest, but I’m worried it might be confusing for her. Also, nursery have said she is still doing well and do not think we should stop as she is asking to use the potty and is weeing on it.
I expected it to be up and down, but not going from 0 accidents on day to 7/8 the next!
