Hi,

Long time lurker, first time poster. I feel at the absolute end of my tether. We've been potty training since he was 3, after suggestions from his childminder that he wasn't ready before.

His wee is perfect to the point where he's even night trained. His poo is another issue, he's been on movicol off and on since he started solids and I feel like he genuinely had lost some sensation so after a few trials and errors I feel like he's only recently recognising the urge to poo. He's doing much better at home, he knows when he needs to go and after some persuasion will sit on the toilet and go.

My big issue at the moment is school and his childminder. He just won't tell them, he's in reception so I know we've reached a point where he shouldn't need the help he does. I'm refusing to put him back in pull ups but he seems embarrassed about telling his teacher and childminder and has at least one poo accident a day. Today it was so bad that it ran down his leg.

Has anyone ever had this and how did you survive!

You need a routine for poos, after breakfast in the morning and after dinner in the evening. Get him to sit on the toilet and try at the same times every day.
