We started potty training about two months ago and 3 year old daughter did really well, no accidents, took to it straight away. Then she suddenly stopped doing poops. Withholding for days and then going at daycare. We spoke to the docs and got her mild laxatives. But she is still refusing to go at home even when she desperate?! We still really calm, we've tried the potty, the toilet, we said she can put the potty anywhere in the house, we tried books, toys, even watching something while going but she refuses. It's taken over as she's uncomfortable at night so up a lot and can't settle into activities because she needs to go. Any advice?! Feel so tired and stressed with it!

Let her have a nappy but have her sit on the toilet to use it.

Then after a few months cut a hole in the nappy, and make it bigger each time. Eventually you'll just be using the same waistband.

What is happening at daycare and how is it different? She is obviously comfortable to do a poo there. Is it privacy/ company/ different potty/ toilet seat? It could be something very small.

Thanks for your reply. She goes in the potty, in the toilet area. She says that her key worker sits with her until she goes. She does wees at home in the potty we have at home but perhaps she isn't comfy doing poops on it. I will see what potty they have!
