Daughter won't poo on the toilet/potty

I started potty training my DD at 2.5 years old. She trained with wees no issues and 5 months later still won't poo on toilet/potty. She will only poo in a pull-up or her knickers. My DD is turning 3 this month and starting pre school in September and currently at nursery. I know some do start in pull-ups but would prefer to keep her in knickers even though she isn't fully potty trained yet. Has anyone had a similar experience they can share and what happened? Did it get better? I've tried everything I.e bubbles, chocolate, stickers, poo story etc. I never had this with my son who I potty trained at 3 years old.

My daughter started at preschool at a school where her sibling goes. She had several soiling accidents for approx 3-4 weeks there, then suddenly of her own accord, she just started pooing on the toilet no problem. For us, there was no special method or way, she just did it and no further soiling accidents since. Preschool started also giving her a small reward from a prize box each time she pooed on the toilet. As frustrating as it is, it doesn't last forever, it just feels like it at the time! My daughter has consistently been pooing on the toilet for approx 2 and a bit months now. It will happen.
