My DD has been potty trained since 2.5ish - so this is going on 2 years now.
She has weeks of dryness were she toilets like a pro, then we seem to hit a bump & go straight back to accidents but this past couple of weeks we seem to be stuck in constant accident rut.
I usually don’t care about the accidents, I just hand her a change of clothes & pants & off she goes to clean herself up. But she has started P1 a month ago, so I don’t want other kids picking on her. She absolutely loves school - skips on in to school every morning & is asking to stay on for after school club. But EVERYDAY she is coming home wet.
I usually play these accidents down, don’t give them much attention but they’re everyday & could be 2/3 times a day. I have tried everything, reward chart, praise when she goes, a small sweet everytime she goes, bribed her with anything she wants from toys to days out but she just seems to not be able to get it back on track this time.
I am having her urine dipped to see if it’s a UTI but I don’t believe it is.
She poops most days and doesn’t appear to be constipated.
I have tried sitting down having a wee chat with her & explaining how important is it to put pees in the toilet at school but this hasn’t done anything either.

Has anyone else experienced this, I am worried in case I am missing something as it’s been ongoing for 2 years now. So any advice greatly appreciated as I am at my wits end.

Thanks :)

My daughter is exactly the same! Weeks of dry spells, can hold it, can take herself and then every nursery room move dropped is deep into a regression. This one went from the new term in mid August until last week (we're Scotland) my daughter is only 3.5. I think a lot comes from a new situation - not sure about toileting and how to ask but the majority is that she's having a lot of fun. Can you go on and ask to visit the toilet with her. Have a practice run with the teacher of putting her hands up and asking. I'd also then ask the teacher to tell her to go at set points of the day for a few weeks. Maybe as she comes in and then hourly? Send her off with the LA? Good luck!!
