I can't get daughter to poo in toilet

Hi so my daughter is 2 and 9 months - started potty training start of August and have successfully mastered peeing. But poo is hit and miss. We have had some poos in toilet but most are in nappies (she asks for nappy to poo in) - sometimes she poos in pants or will wait just before bed or in morning to poo in nighttime pull up. I have tried most things but don't know how to help her poo in toilet.

Can you have her poo in a potty first sat in her nappy, then put an open nappy laid into it, so she's pooing into a nappy but it's not actually on her, then remove the nappy, then move to the toilet?

I had one of these. We used the method above, opening the nappy over the potty and she was happy to go in it. We only had to do that a couple of times and she used the potty independently. She’s 24 now and it was literally decades ago but so frustrating at the time.

Hi OP, just wondering how you are getting on? I’m in the same boat as you and been trying to get DD to do number 2s on the potty/toilet for months now, but she still won’t voluntarily tell me when she needs one, and the times she has told me it’s it usually already happening and I have no time to get her on the toilet.

That made me giggle
