Toddler is too keen to use potty

My partner and I got my 21 month old daughter a potty after she successfully used her older cousins potty ( both poo and wee) last week.

But she’s been asking to sit on it all the time, and straining to try and push something/anything out ( even when she doesn’t actually need to go).

We have been praising her when she does a poo or wee in the potty.. but now I’m wondering if we should tone down the praise a bit..? I’m worried she’s going to give herself piles or a sore bottom if she keeps pushing when there’s nothing there to push out.

Just wondering if anyone else had a toddler in the same position..and if the way have any advice? thanks!

I would only praise the sitting not the output now she's happy to use it.

I never praised my DC on the potty or toilet it was just a normal thing to use

Stop overthinking it and just let her get on with it without making a big fuss
