We bought the ikea potty and it's been good so far. The inner part removes for emptying and cleaning. It also has silicone on the base so the potty stays still as my son sits down on it.

We have a fisher price potty that is very similar which looks more fun (animal design) but wouldn't recommend as it doesn't have the silicone base so it scoots backwards as my son reverses onto it.

We got the one that looks like a miniature toilet seat (with a button which mimics a flush) in the hope that the transition to the toilet in the bathroom would be easier. DS currently uses both with no issues.

I have tried 3 and the ikea potty is the only one my toddler didn't run away from

We've got three :P
A Fisher-Price one that looks like a little toilet and sings when little one wees in it... this is our many potty downstairs.
A very basic potty for upstairs/overnight.
A My Carry Potty for out an about. Brilliant little thing, had a potette for my eldest for out and about, but this is so much better.

I just used a bog standard potty from Asda and then after the first week when he had cracked it I moved him straight onto the toilet, he doesn’t use a special seat or anything just sits on the normal one. I did get a portable potty that you can put liners in just for the first few weeks and that converts into a toilet seat too. Good luck!
