The title pretty much says it all. DD who is 2.5 yo has completely rejected nappies during the day (happy to wear them at bedtime and nap time), but takes them off the moment you put them on otherwise, and genuinely dislikes wearing them.
But she also hates the potty and the loo training seat we have and is refusing to use them atm.
she’s very good at holding, so will go for hours claiming she doesn’t need to go, and then will inevitably have an accident which she finds annoying and clearly doesn’t like very much. But she hasn’t seemed to put the two concepts together. That jumping on her potty would prevent accidents.
at the moment I’ve pulled up the nice rugs and layed some cute waterproof blankets I got on Amazon over the sofas, spending a lot of time in the garden and sort of just letting her do her thing (safe to say we’re going a lot of washing atm) - hoping she’ll slowly learn when she needs to go, and that it’s not very enjoyable to just go where your sitting or standing. But I think her dislike of the potty and loo seat are really holding us back.
we just have the most basic white boring kinds, and I was thinking maybe getting something a bit more exciting might help. I’ve been online and found such a wide variety of products- from potty’s that turn into wheelie cases to ladders with a loo seats on them that fit onto the toilet.
does anyone had any really good recommendations for this type of product? I feel like I spend so much money on baby gadgets that never get used, I’d love some actual advice on this one. Thanks
