My son is finally potty training but half his pee ends up on the floor?

My son is 3 and has finally potty trained as he now goes off to the potty to do his wee’s (poo’s we are still working on).
However, when he does a wee, half of it ends up on the floor and half of it in the potty and I’m not sure why?
Is it the potty itself? Do I have to teach him to hold down his Willy?
He’s circumsized. Is it that?

Is he seated or standing?
Standing he has poor aim and needs to learn to aim, seated, I'd assume he isn't sitting on the potty properly?

If he is sitting make sure he pushes his penis downwards if he is standing it will go everywhere until he learns to aim.

He does now push his penis down and it has helped. Thank you for the replies
