This is now my third attempt over the summer to potty train my son who will be 3 in November. He understands what the potty is all about. It doesn't phase him to sit on the potty, although he's not bloody doing anything. He holds it until the point he is sore holding in his pee and will then have a buf full nappy when i do cave in and put it back on him...
But my main thing is that hes absolutely petrified of underwear. I tried him first with big boy pants he hated them so I went and spent about bloody £30 on boxers in the opinion that hes see dad wearing them so maybe feel more relaxed about them. NOPE. hes screaming the house down even as soon as he sees them in my hand and then there's a row to put them on!
Once wearing them and his trousers are up hes fine but then when he says he wants to go pee and then sees hes wearing underwear its the sane scenario all over again. Im absolutely exhausted by it all today. Im trying so hard to get sonething hes comfortable with. Im at my wits end. Any body else have this issue??
