Day 3 of potty training, still no poo.. do I just wait?

Can you help me with your thoughts..

We're on day 3, DS age 3 is doing great but holding his poo. He had a little poo on potty earlier - so it's on the way- do I just wait? I expected him to go in his nappy at night but didn't.

He's always been so regular, I hate to think of him holding it.

When ds1 potty trained, he did wait til bedtime and pooped in his pull up for about a week.

I started with ds2 yesterday, he had pooped just after getting up in his nappy, and did the sane this morning. He normally poos several times a day, I know he's holding onto it. He'll get there I'm sure!

That's great! I was despairing yesterday, after a great day 1, day 2 was challenging, today has been really good and included a big poop on the toilet. He prefers the toilet to potty so now we know that it's helped a lot.
