4.5 year old girl still has wee accidents

My 4.5 year old daughter still has wee accidents most days. We have tried all sorts. Sticker charts don't do anything, I feel the penny hasn't dropped so to speak. Most story books for kids with toilet troubles are all based on poo problems with very few for wee problems. Any advice I would be so grateful. She has been dry on a night for over a year.

First don,t stress all very normal. second is their a pattern. Eg is it at certain times of the day? Is it when she is really busy? Is she at school or nursey/playgroup or home and does this make a difference. I would give regular reminders. highlight times which she may forget to need the toilet or when she is likely to go. Sticker charts don,t always work, Marbles in a jar is another attempt. Squash can be ablander irritant so stick to water/milk.

There is no pattern as such any time of any day home and at school although school remind her and there is a sticker chart in place, we do one to mirror them but I don't find it effective at home. Will try the marbles though that's a good idea of yours thank you.

You could try “Dry Like Me” pads which are like sanitary pads which go in normal knickers to absorb accidents.

Far less humiliating than going back to nappies or Pull-Ups.
