1 week into potty training a 3 year old girl - are we doing ok?

I started potty training my 3 year old girl last weekend, so we are now a week in. I went cold turkey on daytime nappies. She is at nursery full time and has quickly got into the routine of going to the toilet when she is taken. She seems to be having one wet accident a day now. Pooping is a different story, but I know that's a bit harder.

I'm a first time mum and finding potty training very daunting. I've asked my mum for advice, but seemingly my sister and I both got up one day and decided to be dry!

I guess my question is, for a week in, is one wet accident a day good? All the books I've read seem to suggest you can do it in 3 days! Also she isn't necessarily asking to go to the toilet, it's just that she's taken regularly- or is that all part of it and I'm stressing for nothing!

I think doing it in 3 days means you are not having constant accidents. So were you are now. My DD was one of those children who just started to use the potty but still we had accidents. I suspect you Mum just can’t remember.

You really want to be in a situation where she is asking or taking herself to the toilet rather someone constantly prompting her.
