4 yr old night time regression, related to oil in ears?!

DD has been night trained since November, it all went really well and no accidents or problems really.

Since then she had one accident back in Jan, then on holiday in mid Feb two accidents, due to being over busy and overwhelmed and falling into a very very deep sleep I think - she was really exhausted.

She's got into some kind of regression and for the last 4 nights has wet herself at least once every night, for no obvious reason as far as I can see.

The only thing which had changed recently is we've been putting olive oil in her ears at bedtime to soften some wax up - on GP's advice.

Could this be at all related? We're supposed to do the oil for two weeks, but if it's causing her to regress at night time then we might abandon and start again in a few weeks with a packet of pull ups at the ready. I don't want her to lose her confidence, which feels in danger of happening. Also it's the wrong time of year to have loads of extra washing!

Oil might be completely unrelated.

Any thoughts very much appreciated

Doubt it's related to oil, she's probably just regressed unfortunately, my DS did around the same age and is 5 now and still in nappies as he is rarely dry

Just in case anyone is interested, I stopped the oil and she started being dry again instantly. So no idea if it was related, but in my limited data it looks like it might have been.
