Started Potty training my DS last week. We are on day 5.
DS is 2 years and 8 months and was showing signs of being ready (pooing in certain places, telling me when he needed/done a wee)
With Wees, he has done so well, its surprised me on how well he has done. We done the naked approach and are now slowly introducing joggers.
The problem is poo! He is VERY reluctant to have a poo, on a potty, on the toilet, in a nappy, in pants... anywhere.
I know when he needs one as he paces up and down, moaning, but its very challenging to get him to do a poo anywhere.

Any tips??

Thanks

Hey.
A little update...
So after napping for 15 mins he woke up and did a poo in his nappy. It wasnt huge but enough to give him a break.
I went to see the HV who advised to slow the potty training down for poo's only but to continue to carry on with his weeing as he has nailed that (2nd day dry). So as soon as he shows signs of needing a poo, offer the potty/toilet but if he refuses, then put a nappy on for 30 mins, regardless if he wants to or not.
They are going to call me next week to see how he is getting on and if he is still holding it in, and not pooing at all, i have to go back to the GP.
Ive started him on lactalose today and given him half a big pear so hopefully that will get things moving.

Thanks again for the advice. Fingers crossed this stage passes quickly. X

Well done. I remember privately celebrating each poo in a way that is, in hindsight, a bit comical. However, in the moment, felt perfectly reasonable.
