Toilet trained and now having lots of accidents again.

I'm so frustrated I need some help.

DD is 2.7. Potty training started mid July. By a few weeks in we were there. Even a stretch of a week accident free. Then she changed nursery, had a week of holiday and then started the new nursery. We have had a total nightmare and I put it down to the changes stressing her. Over the weekend she was amazing. No accidents, won her peppa pig playing cards for being accident free all day, even got up in the morning, took down pull up on her own and did a poo on the potty.

And now today we have had two huge accidents. Both times right after she had sat on the potty and said she had no wees. Once all over her mini leather tub chair (that's now in the garden having been hosed off and drying) and now all over our sofa. I've done my best to clean it, hoping it's enough!

What do I do? I know she can do this, why does it keep going so spectacularly wrong? Please help?

I am in exactly the same situation. I toilet trained D through the summer and he pretty much got it down. But then he started nursery and it's gone down hill since. It's even worse than when he was learning. It's been about 4 weeks and I am struggling as well as stressed. I don't know what I am supposed to do.
Help please 😭

Also exactly the same here Same age, potty trained brilliantly over the summer. Now for last week it's non stop accidents - poos and wees. Don't think we've got a single one in the toilet so far this week. Don't know what to do - should we just go back to nappies?

Regression is normal. Don't go back to nappies! Just go back to reminding, praising and it'll be sorted soon most likely.

It is worse than when you first trained because they're doing it now in part to get a reaction, so pick the worst places to wee possible! So frustrating. I found just totally ignoring them helped, i.e. change and clean them without saying anything, but we are still having some issues.

I try to remind myself that it's two steps forward, one step back, with learning any new skill. Potty training is no exception with that. Also, I'm sure she's probably struggling with change and stress - toileting is one of the first things to slip up at this age, with big life changes. My dd was reliably dry this time last year, but we've had a LOT of upheaval in the intervening months, that even now a fully dry day is a surprise. Eh. I try not to let it get me down, because she's dry at night and clean all day. She just doesn't always get herself to the toilet in time.

Hi mummies an update from my post a month ago. DD is now dry and soil free, he goes to the toilet every time he needs it, and I don't even need to remind him anymore he tells me when he needs to go and can go up to 3 hours maybe more and still stay dry. He is also dry at night too but still wears a nappy to bed.
Honestly persistence and patience and just having hope I've gotten through the worst and can see the horizon.
When I made my post I was literally at breaking point and researching on classes and even taking him to see a doctor but it eventually passed.

Almost exactly the same here. My son is 3.5, we had potty training licked over the summer but over the past couple of months he's regressed. I've literally just put him back in pull ups this morning as I can't keep up with the washing! He is perfectly happy using the potty or toilet for a poo and will tell me he needs a wee if I'm in the same room, but as soon as I'm not there he just wees in his pants. I'm fed up with taking 3 or 4 changes of clothes wherever we go, and constantly asking if he needs a wee, I feel like a total failure at this! And this morning I just have no more clean trousers to take with him to nursery. I just can't think of what to do, stickers or rewards don't seem to work, he just doesn't seem bothered about having wet trousers. Any ideas? Sorry to barge in on this thread xxx
