Sounds daft but I've just started potty training my 2.8 yr old DS1 and on the 2 occasions weve used public loos ive managed to get him soaked!

It's fine at home as we have a trainer seat and he's obviously not wearing shoes so pants and trousers come down far enough for him to wee down into the loo.

Am I supposed to sit him on the loo as you would a girl? And if so how do I do this so.he doesn't wee on himself? With jeans and trainers on there isn't much room for him to aim down the loo rather than across his lap.

Am I just being useless??!!

We get DS to physically point his willy all the way down to avoid escaping wee. That was a learning curve and a half.

We had this with DS. He needs to sit towards the front of the toilet and lean forwards - maybe even point his penis downwards too.

Or let him pee standing up.

Or let him pee standing up.

DS has only just mastered the skill of weeing standing up without decorating the surrounding area. He's 4. Grin

Really? My DS is 4 and does it without issue. Does that make him a peeing prodigy? WinkGrin

I have no children but my husband still sits on the toilet to pee and points his penis into the toilet. Because of this we have a very clean bathroom Grin

Ds sits back, wide legs and then his willy naturally points down

I bet I get a flaming Grin

I held DS willy to teach him at that young age. He trained at 2.
On potty is fine, on toilet it's not. I always pushed his willy down and kept a finger on it so it stayed down.

We learnt nature wee's long before he was tall enough to reach the toilet so he knew how to hold it himself. And we got a step for the toilet.

Let him do a wee whilst standing up and hold his willy to help aim
