I've bought a toilet seat in preparation for PT my 21mo DS but want your opinion on it please.

When I got it home, it crossed my mind that the lip at the front of it isn't great if he wants to get off the toilet by himself. It's the lip that will stop him weeing everywhere - it doesn't have a smooth edge and is horizontal as opposed to vertical. I'm afraid he could hurt himself it he pulls himself forward to get off the toilet. What do you think?

I don't know if I'm explaining myself too well, but will try to post a picture when I get on my computer.

I know what you mean.
My children never felt safe on seats like that anyway, often tend to slide around.

This is fantastic - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B006DLFHZS/ref=pd_aw_sbs_1?pi=SL500_SS115&simLd=1

Thanks for the link, I'll definitely look into that.

Heres the picture of mine - it's the red bit at the front I'm worried about

Hmm, ours wasn't like that, it was more solid.

However when he's little you'll be with him, and when he's older, he'll still have the step so he should be able to stand up clear of that lip.
