DS 7.5 never been dry at night really. I lift as I go to bed, but still often wet. I was a bedwetter as a child as well so no surprise. I was thinking of using a bedwetting alarm? Any success stories out there? Exactly which one did you use? I've looked at the excellent ERIC website and see that they them sell there. Did you take your DS to see a GP first? Or go with your own treament regime? Really interested to hear what others have done. Thanks!

Hi

My ds (8) was wet most nights until fairly recently. His little sister has been dry since she was 2 so she got there a lot quicker than him

We took him to the Dr just to talk about it and ask for advice. He prescribed some tablets (can't remember the name, they're a synthetic hormone.) I was surprised that he prescribed tablets rather than offering other solutions to try first.

Anyway, ds and I talked and.we decided we'd wait a few months to start on the tablets and I'm glad we did because miraculously within a month he was consistently dry. He's just started going to bed without the pullups and so far so good. Ds always had one or two dry pullups a month but it was never consistent and when they were full they were full! Sometimes he leaked out of them.

So, based solely on our own experience, my advice would be to not worry too much unless your ds is distressed by it. Unless there's a medical reason for it I think they become dry at night when the hormone kicks in.

If you are worried it wouldn't do any harm to speak to a school nurse or gp.

Sorry, you were asking for advice on the alarm. I don't have any Blush but at least I've bumped you up Grin
