Reason being we live in France and he starts maternelle at the beginning of September and he has to be potty trained when he starts. (He is however only going to be doing half days and they do tend to take all the children to the loo (only 8 in his class) at the same time, so i think he will just copy the others.
DS actually trained himself and is going on the potty when he remembers. First thing in the morning he is very good and often wakes up with a dry nappy. I try and keep asking him after a drink if he needs to go.
Biggest problem is if he is engrossed in something he forgets. As it has been hot weather he has been running around bare bottomed, so any accidents are not too messy.
However he doesn't speak much (whole other thread) so DS doesn't tell me when he needs the loo. I have 2 potties, one just outside downstairs loo and one next to loo in upstairs bathroom so he doesn't have too far to go...
I think i need to structure his training a bit more so that he is reminded to go more often. Also i have still put him in nappies on a day out, which i know is not good...
help!
